Charles David George "Charlie" Stross (ur. 18 października 1964) w Leeds - brytyjski pisarz science fiction i space opera. Pisuje też lovecraftowskie w klimacie horrory i urban fantasy.

Stross pisze też dużo artykułów, przez dziesięć lat pracował dla "Computer Shopper". Obecnie większość swoich artykułów publikuje w Internecie.

Pierwsze opowiadanie opublikował w 1987 roku w "Interzone", było to "The Boys". Pierwsza powieść, Singularity Sky ukazała się w 2003 roku i od razu była nominowana do Hugo. Nagrodę tę zdobył w 2005 za opowiadanie "The Concrete Jungle".

Za powieść Accelerando otrzymał w 2006 nagrodę Locus, a Szklany dom w 2007 nagrodę Prometheus. Za opowiadanie "Missile Gap" dostał w 2007 kolejnego Locusa.

Stross potrafi pisać ciężkie, przeładowane technologią opowiadania o odległej przyszłości, ale również błyskotliwe i dowcipne urban fantasy.
