Simon Richard Green (urodzony 25 sierpnia 1955) brytyjski pisarz fantasy i science fiction.

Green urodził się w Bradford on Avon, w hrabstwie Wiltshire. Ukończył dwa kierunki studiów - nowożytną filologię angielską i literaturę amerykańską - na Uniwersytecie Leicester. Rozpoczął swoją karierę pisarską w 1973, swoją pierwszą powieść Manslayer sprzedał w 1976.

Spory sukces przyniósł mu zbiór opowieści o Robin Hoodzie, inspirowany ekranizacją "Robin Hood - książę złodziei" Kevina Costnera. Sprzedał aż 370,000 egzemplarzy i przyczynił się do restauracji legendy o łuczniku z lasów Sherwood..
