Ursula Kroeber Le Guin (ur. 21 października 1929 w Berkeley, Kalifornia; zm. 22 stycznia 2018 w Portland) – amerykańska pisarka SF i fantasy; wiele jej książek, przede wszystkim z cyklu Ziemiomorze i Hain (inna nazwa Ekumena), weszło do klasyki gatunku. Wielokrotnie nagradzana nagrodami Hugo i Nebula.

W 1951 Le Guin otrzymała stopień licencjata (będąc członkiem Phi Beta Kappa) w Radcliffe College, a w 1952 dyplom magistra na Uniwersytecie Columbia. Później studiowała we Francji, gdzie poznała swego męża, historyka Charlesa Le Guin. Pobrali się w 1953.

Interesowała się literaturą od wczesnej młodości. W wieku jedenastu lat posłała swoje pierwsze opowiadanie do magazynu Astounding Science Fiction. We wczesnych latach 60. powróciła do swych wczesnych zainteresowań science fiction i zaczęła regularnie pisać i publikować. Pierwszym jej szeroko znanym utworem stała się powieść pt. Lewa ręka ciemności (The Left Hand of Darkness), za którą otrzymała nagrody Hugo i Nebula w 1969.

W 1985 współpracowała z awangardowym kompozytorem Davidem Bedfordem nad librettem do space opery pt. Rigel 9.

Od 1958 mieszka Portland w stanie Oregon. Ma troje dzieci i czworo wnucząt.

W prawie wszystkich utworach fantastycznonaukowych Ursuli Le Guin widać silny wpływ nauk społecznych, głównie socjologii i antropologii kulturowej, lokujących je w subkategorii zwanej czasem soft science fiction. Przykładem jest zagłębienie się w istotę tożsamości seksualnej poprzez użycie motywu androgynicznej rasy w powieści Lewa ręka ciemności (The Left Hand of Darkness).
