Tad Williams, właściwie Robert Paul Williams, ur. w 1957 roku amerykański pisarz science fiction i fantasy. Sukces komercyjny osiągnął trylogią fantasy Pamięć, Smutek, Cierń, często porównywaną do "Władcy Pierścienia" Tolkiena.

Jest też scenarzystą komiksowym i twórcą fantasy dla dzieci. W Polsce jego twórczość jest bardzo dobrze znana. Odwiedził Polskę dwukrotnie.
